Angus Archives and Museum Collections Online

We’re delighted to bring to you our Digital Archive and Museums Collection. From ancient artifacts rich in Angus history to rare finds from across the globe, our online collections are bursting with stories waiting to be discovered by you.

Through this site, you will be able to view an amazing variety of items that we store here at ANGUSalive and you can book in time with us to view these in person. Whether you're here to research, reminisce, or simply trace the history of Angus, you’re sure to find something that is up your street.

To navigate the site, simply use the Search box to enter a word or phrase to show all entries containing that search term. You will get objects, collection descriptions, archival material, archaeology sites and people records, such as early donors, artists and makers.

Not everything is included yet or has the most up to date information. Some objects or descriptions may include offensive or outdated imagery or words. This may be part of an original work or reflect previous museum practice. We are working to revise and augment our descriptions.
